Our Story
Lilly Lights the Way honors the memory of Lilly Toxavidis, a 13-year-old girl from Attleboro, Massachusetts. Lilly was diagnosed with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma in November of 2017. After a year and a half of intense chemotherapy treatment, Lilly was diagnosed with a secondary cancer, acute myeloid leukemia, in May of 2019. This diagnosis required an urgent bone marrow transplant. She received her transplant in August of 2019 and battled many complications related to this procedure. Lilly courageously passed away on October 28, 2019, after a valiant fight.
Her innate kindness, strength, and bravery inspired everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Our goal is to spread her name in “lights” and bring happiness to other families who may be on a similar cancer journey.
